In most circumstances, your OB ultrasound is an amazing family event. Keep in mind this is also a medical test that must be as accurate as possible and requires concentration. A specially trained health care professional known as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) will perform the examination. It will be reviewed by a physician trained in fetal imaging.
