Hepatobiliary Surgery

This is an area of medicine focused on the medical and surgical management of issues related to the liver, gallbladder, biliary ducts and associated anatomical structures. Conditions that may be addressed by hepatobiliary surgery include cancers of the bile duct, gall bladder or liver; bile duct injury; portal vein thrombosis; hepatoblastoma; hepatopulmonary syndrome and hepatorenal syndrome.
