As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are shifting the way we offer care to our patients. Your IHA Pediatrics practice will continue to be available by phone during normal business hours, and our 24-hour call center is able to help with many after-hours questions including scheduling an appointment. Many preventive and simple sick appointments at IHA Pediatrics practices are being converted to video appointments. This will allow you to stay home and safe while still being able to have a face to face appointment. If your child has an upcoming appointment at your IHA Pediatrics practice, you will receive a phone call with more details about preparing for their video appointment. Some pediatrics patients will continue to be seen in-person by a provider. If your child is to be seen in person for their appointment, you may be asked to come to a different practice location than where they are normally seen. Learn more about temporary updates to your IHA Pediatrics practice.

Talking to children about COVID-19

There's a lot of news coverage about the outbreak of COVID-19 and it can be overwhelming for parents and frightening to kids. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) encourages parents and others who work closely with children to filter information and talk about it in a way that their child can understand.
