  • Our Specialty
    Services
  • Primary care is general healthcare. It is a patient's first point of contact for their health needs. Patients develop lifelong partnerships with their Primary Care Provider (PCP). Your PCP takes ongoing responsibility for providing and managing comprehensive healthcare.
  • With a focus on preventive health and overall well-being, our internal medicine physicians and staff specialize in primary care for adults, and patients with acute and chronic multi-system diseases.
  • IHA offers nutrition counseling services at many of our practice locations. Nutrition counseling is provided by IHA nutrition specialists/registered dietitians. Their expertise can provide you with the necessary knowledge to achieve all of your individual and family dietary needs.
  • The IHA Collaborative Care Behavioral Health Program works with patients who may have anxiety and/or depression at several of our locations. We are right here in your office! Our team is made up of a Behavioral Health Specialist, your doctor and a psychiatrist who talks with your doctor and Behavioral Health Specialist. We all work together to help improve your overall well-being. About once a month the Behavioral Health Specialist will call you or meet in the doctor’s office to check in, ask about your mood symptoms and they may discuss how your medication(s) are working. We use questionnaires to help track changes in your symptoms. If you are part of this program, the Behavioral Health Specialist works with you to build skills and techniques to better manage your depression and/or anxiety. If you are interested in using medication to help control your symptoms, our team psychiatrist will talk to your Behavioral Health Specialist and your doctor to figure out the best treatment options.
  • Pediatrics is a specialty concerned with the physical, mental, and social health of children from birth to young adulthood. Pediatric care encompasses a broad spectrum of health services ranging from preventive health care to the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. A pediatrician is able to define accurately the child’s health status and to serve as a consultant and make use of other specialists as consultants as needed, ideally in the context of, or in conjunction with, the physician-led medical home. Because the child’s welfare is heavily dependent on the home and family, the pediatrician supports efforts to create a nurturing environment. Such support includes education about healthful living and anticipatory guidance for both patients and parents. Newborn? Toddler? Teenager? Your kids are well-covered. From your very first visit, you'll notice that our pediatric services are some of the most advanced and up-to-date in all of Michigan.
  • IHA Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist Services works with primary care providers as a part of the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). Through in-office and telephone appointments, they can help patients achieve optimal control of chronic conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Clinical pharmacists provide comprehensive medication review services including, adjusting current medications to ensure maximum safety and efficacy, ongoing monitoring and disease state education. They also work with you to set dietary and lifestyle goals to improve the management of your condition.

About The Practice

Welcome to IHA Plymouth Primary Care (formerly IHA Internal Medicine & Pediatrics - Plymouth)!

We are a group committed to providing our patients with quality medical care to our patients. We offer same-day sick appointments, some late appointments and more. Two of our physicians are internal medicine/pediatrics providers, which means they can see children as well as adults.

Along with our regular hours, we offer extended early and late hours several days a week.

IHA Plymouth Primary Care has been designated a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH). PCMH patients and their family (when appropriate) establish a partnership with their practitioners to ensure they have the support needed to make decisions and participate in their own health care.

As a practice we know that preventive care, including vaccinations, is the most important part of our service to our patients and families. To best protect your children, our other patients, as well as our staff and providers from vaccine-preventable illness, we have made the decision to only accept families into our practice who plan to fully vaccinate their children according to the CDC, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Family Physicians guidelines.
